    For the second installment of Google Voice user stories, we chatted with Amy Seidenwurm, one of the co-founders of Backwards Beekepers, to find out how they are using Google Voice to rescue swarms of bees.

    1. Tell us about your organization.
    The Backwards Beekeepers are dedicated to saving the native honey bee population by teaching chemical-free beekeeping. We have monthly meetings in L.A. and also advise beekeepers all over the world.

    We use our Google Voice number for the Bee Rescue Hotline. People
  • AdWords API v201101 launch -- providing enhanced reporting, generic selectors, support for filtering and more

    We’re pleased to announce the launch of AdWords API v201101, which allow you to more efficiently run reports, as well as implement campaign experiments and other recently released advertising features at scale. Through the AdWords API forum and developer events we’ve heard frequent requests for the newly available services. We’ve highlighted some of the new features below. Guido van Rossum, the creator of Python, is a Googler too—so naturally we’re thrilled to be supporting PyCon 2011 USA, the largest annual gathering for the community using and developing the open-source Python programming language.   • Carnival, Carnival, and more Carnival

    Carnival in Brazil has just started! Our Carnival doodle this year was inspired by materials typically used by the performing Schools of Samba in their costumes and floats. To reflect the spirit of Carnival, we included the various colors and objects at the party to represent the diverse parts that come together to make the overall party so special.

    For the first time, we created a doodle using real-life objects and pieced them together with scissors and glue, both typical Carnival materials. Here is a slideshow to illustrate our "making
